Programme Educational Objectives (PEO)

  • Knowledge Acquisition

    To provide graduates with comprehensive and updated knowledge in pharmaceutical and allied fields, which includes but is not limited to the subjects pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical analysis, quality assurance, clinical testing and pharmacovigilance, microbiology, immunology, molecular biology, biotechnology biostatistics etc. along with emerging trends science of making and safeguarding the use of medicines

  • Professional Skills Development

    To instil a range of technical and professional skills that enable graduates to effectively engage in pharmaceutical research, manufacturing, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, clinical research and pharmacovigilance, medical coding, medical scripting etc. ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the demands of the healthcare industry

  • Leadership and Interpersonal Skills

    To inculcate leadership qualities and interpersonal skills in graduates, enabling them to work collaboratively, communicate effectively, and contribute positively to the conservation of health of the society

  • Ethical and Professional Values

    To promote a strong ethical framework and professional values, encouraging graduates to demonstrate integrity, empathy, and a commitment to lifelong learning in their careers as pharmacists and healthcare providers

Programme Outcome (PO)

  • Knowledge Application

    Graduates will be able to apply foundational and advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences to solve complex problems in the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare system

  • Technical Proficiency

    Graduates will be able to demonstrate proficiency in pharmaceutical techniques and practices, including drug discovery, drug product development, pharmaceutical product manufacturing, quality control, quality assurance, regulatory approvals, sales and marketing, clinical data management, pharmacovigilance, clinical and hospital pharmacy etc.

  • Research and Innovation

    Graduates will be able to independent research, showcasing their ability to design and conduct, experiments, analyse and interpret the data and contribute to the advancement of pharmaceutical knowledge

  • Professionalism and Ethics

    Graduates will be able to exhibit professionalism and adherence to ethical standards in all aspects of pharmacy practice, including decision-making and interactions with patients, colleagues and healthcare team members

    Graduates will be able to provide patient-centered care by effectively communicating medication information, drug–drug and drug–food interactions, by counselling patients, and by collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize therapeutic outcomes

    Graduates will be able to actively participate in community service and health promotion activities, demonstrating an understanding of the social determinants of health and their impact on public health
